How to enroll.

Three steps from first call to first day.

How enrollment works

01

Get in touch

Call (856) 832-5577 or email office. evergreenmontessorinj@gmail. com. Tell us your child's age and the days you need. We will talk through what you are looking for and answer your questions. From there, you can schedule a tour.

02

Tour the room

Come see the classroom your child would join. You will meet the teachers who run it and watch how the room is set up. You can ask about the materials, the routines, and how children spend their time.

03

Enroll and settle in

After your tour, you submit an application and the required forms. Once enrollment is confirmed, we plan a first week that suits your child's routine. You will know exactly what to expect before the first morning.

What to have ready

Most families gather a few papers before the first day. You will need enrollment forms, a health form, and your child's immunization record. Have your emergency contacts and the names of people authorized to pick up your child ready. The office can tell you exactly what is required.

Pack a full change of clothes that stays at school, labeled with your child's name. Add outdoor gear for the season — a hat, boots, or a light jacket. If your child naps here, bring nap items. A small comfort object from home can help too.

Before the first day, decide who will drop off and who will pick up. Tell us how you want to hear about your child's day. Some families prefer a quick word at pickup; others like to ask a question by email. We follow your lead.

The first weeks

The first days are often shorter. Your child may come for a morning and build up from there. A familiar object from home can make the new room feel less strange. A teacher greets your child by name at the door.

At pickup, a teacher will tell you how the day went — what your child played with, when they ate, how they rested. You can ask questions then, or send a note later. Most children settle into the rhythm within a few weeks.

What families ask

What about tuition?

Ask about current rates when you call or tour. They depend on your child's age and schedule.

What ages do you take?

Children from 2.5 to 6.

Can we visit before deciding?

Yes. A tour is how most families decide, and children are welcome to come along.

What should my child bring on the first day?

For a first day, families usually pack a change of clothes and a comfort item, all labeled with the child's name. Outdoor gear for the season helps too. The office can tell you what else your child's room needs.

What does a typical day include?

A day is usually built around arrival, then play and learning, then meals and rest. Outdoor time comes when weather allows. Pickup closes the day, with a word from the teacher about how it went.

How will I know how my child is doing?

Parents usually hear about the day at pickup. You can also ask a teacher a question when you need to. The office is glad to connect you with the right person.

Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?

Schedules depend on the age group and on what openings we currently have, so the best answer comes from asking us directly. Tell us your child's age and the days you need, and we can say what is available for your family.

What if there is no place right now?

We keep a list of families who want to be told when a place opens for their child's age. Ask us to add your child's name and age, and we will contact you when a spot becomes available.

What should I ask on the tour?

Ask about hours, meals, and how pickups work. Ask how the first weeks are handled and what a typical day looks like. The answers will tell you whether this feels right for your family.
